Example 44: A random vibration excitation acts on a sheet metal structure. Stress amplitudes are calculated in the winLIFE software using various methods based on the power spectral densities (PSD) of the stress components. Fatigue lives are then determined from the stress amplitudes for the finite elements (or nodes).
